Just imagine... Wide sandy beaches, great temperatures and then lots of beach volleyball. Practicing our great sport for a week (the real fanatics even go for 2 weeks), in a beautiful place, with a group full of fanatic beach players who come just for that! This is what you can expect when you come with us to Portugal.
We travel to Praia da Rocha in Portugal, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. For years this beach has been the spot for various beach trips and for several years now we too know exactly why. The beach vibe is 100% there. With the sunsets, the beautiful rock formations and the ocean in the background, it is the perfect location for a week of beaching!

Eat.
During this week you will be immersed in beach life and everything that goes with it. For 7 days you will live on your own beach planet. You are outside all day long and you can eat on the beach terrace or in one of the many restaurants. There is everything. From burgers to fish. Pizza, tapas, vega and vegan. Everything is nearby. If you book Hotel da Rocha, we also advise you to choose only including breakfast. The restaurants nearby are too good to pass up!
Beach.
The main focus of our camps is beach volleyball: training and playing. During the trainings the trainers will work with you to strengthen your technique, improve your game and give you a boost towards the summer season.
In the afternoons, you can apply your training directly in the tournaments. Every week there are more than 100 players, from beginners to national top players. So you can always train and play at your own level.
Sleep.
Do you like nice luxury? Then of course you book Hotel da Rocha. It has four stars and lovely beds. The perfect accommodation to rest after your day of beach volleyball. Do you prefer a little more space for yourself and like to be in the kitchen? Or looking for a cheaper accommodation. Then Flor da Rocha is the place to stay. The apartments are clean and spacious. You have your own kitchenette; a big plus. The apartments are about 20 minutes from the fields so you have an immediate morning walk!
Repeat.
This beach trip is extra cool because you will meet so many more beachers. We work together with Deep Dish Beach and in the spring beachers from all over the world come to Praia da Rocha. Many players who have been once come back every year. All people who love the game and beach life as much as you do. That often makes for exuberant fun and lots of extra games. After all, how fun is it to play against new or old friends again! One thing you can be sure of: you will go home with a lot of new beach friends!
The weekly program
Arrival day! After your journey from Lisbon or Faro to Praia da Rocha, you'll check in at your accommodation and make your way to the beach.
There you will meet the other campers and trainers and receive a warm welcome including your goody bag!
After some free play on the fields and picking up your goody bag, you will go to your accommodation to get ready for the welcome dinner. During this welcome dinner you will meet more of the other beachers.
After dinner, you can ease off to bed to prepare for the 1st day of training or you can hit up one of the bars with the other campers to kick off the week!
Today then officially begins your beach camp!
On this day, a nice full day is planned immediately.
In the morning, you can participate in the yoga session to be well prepared for your first workout.
During this workout, you will meet the group and get a feel for the level of the week.
After the lunch break, the first tournament of the week is scheduled: the Scramble!
In this social tournament format you play each round with a different partner in order to get to know as many other participants as possible. The tournament director will announce your partner each round.
After playing and watching (or playing) the finals on center court, you can quietly grab a drink and watch the trainers' demo. This will give you a sneak peek into the techniques you can learn this week.
Now that you've completed your first few flying hours in the sand again, it's time for the 2nd day of camp.
Today there are 2 training sessions scheduled, a great day to learn a lot of skills!
Each day there is a different theme for the training sessions and for each training session you will have a different trainer to get as much different feedback as possible.
After the intense day of training, it's time for a short but much-loved tournament format: ACE!
This is a tournament format in which you play 6-on-6 and (optionally) have to drink if the ball lands in your team's court without first being hit by your team.
After the ACE tournament, it's time to quietly go home and get ready for the evening. Find a nice little restaurant with some fellow beachgoers and then head to the theme party. Of course, you will be told the theme in advance so you can take it into account when packing.
Today is a somewhat quieter day with 1 workout scheduled in the morning.
Of course, this workout is again led by a new trainer with a new focus point.
In the afternoon it is time for our mix tournament or Queen and King of the Court tournament in Dutch Week. You can register with your own partner but you can also put yourself on the singles list with which the tournament director will pair you with someone for the tournament.
With the lovely sunny vibes, we are organizing a number of activities on and around the center court such as the skyball contest. Take part to have a chance to win great prizes!
The evening is free for you to make your own plans; for example, explore one of the restaurants to end the day well.
On Wednesday, we kick off the day with another yoga session.
And believe me; you're going to need this one! After a couple of intensive days your muscles will be pretty tired. But believe us ... you can really go on for a while!
After the yoga session, a workout is scheduled first. In the afternoon, it's time for your second workout of the day. After that, you get to cool off. We then dive into the pool for the Pool Party at No Solo Aqua!
Thursday is the last day of training. Some time to brush up on the last bits and prepare yourself optimally for tomorrow's tournament.
In the afternoon is the Beach Battle, a tournament in which you sign up with 2 men and 2 ladies. You first play 2 x 2 after which you finish the match with 4 against 4. Super fun!
After the tournament, it's time to gather around center court for the Coaches' Beach Battle.
Friday, the last day of camp....
This is the big tournament day! You will battle it out on the court with all the other beachers who have worked extremely hard in training this week.
The tournament lasts all day. We conclude, of course, with the finals on Center Court.
At the end of the day it is time for the closing party! In the Dutch Week it is the Royal Party, where you can indulge in your role as a royal. The theme for the second week is yet to be announced.
The best part about this party: it takes place on the Rooftop of Oceans. Here you have an amazing view of the ocean and can end your week together in style!
The saddest day; the travel day back home.
We say goodbye and with that it's time to head to the airport, heading home.
Hopefully not a goodbye but a goodbye!
For those lucky enough to stay a little longer or only have a late flight, there is the opportunity to still play free.

The hotel has a luxurious appearance and is standard offered including breakfast, for an additional fee it is also possible to book half board.

Algarve Mor Apartments
Do you like being able to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the beach? Or do you prefer to stand in the kitchen a few times yourself? Then choose to book one of the Algarve Mor apartments.
The apartments are just steps away from the fields and are fully equipped and a nice place to recover from the busy days. Here you have your own kitchen, living room with dining table and sofa and bedroom.
The apartments have 1 bedroom and are equipped with sofa bed for a 3rd person if necessary.

Group Registration
Already know exactly who you want to beach this fantastic camp with? Then maybe the new group registration is something for you.
Sign up as a group of 8 beachers and pay a fixed amount of 2.750,- for a camppass for 8 persons (343,75 p.p.).
For this you get all the advantages of the normal camppass with the most advantageous price and the whole week your own training group!

Travel Tips
When you book with us, we take care of everything beach volleyball related. But of course you also have to get to our location! Below are our tips and options for traveling to Praia da Rocha.
Flights
There are many flights from Schiphol, Eindhoven or Rotterdam to Faro or Lisbon. So there is a lot of choice in terms of times and days. Faro is nice and close and Lisbon can sometimes be cheaper. Often there are also cheaper tickets from Brussels or Dusseldorf. Unfortunately, there is no night train going in Portugal at the moment.
Train/Bus/Car
From Faro, you can arrange a transfer through one of the online providers. You can also take the train or bus to Praia da Rocha. That takes about 2 hours. Would you also like to be a bit more flexible and go into the surrounding area? Then you can easily rent a car at the airport. Flying into Lisbon? There is a Flixbus going to Portimao. A ticket costs about a tenner and the bus is fast and reliable. Want to rent a car in Lisbon? Then book through AJulio. The prices are good and the service is even better. AJulio is 5 minutes from the airport, but you will be picked up and taken away again.
