Ricardo was de hele zomer in LA voor een prachtig beachavontuur. Hier zijn ervaringen! - Hoe kwam je op het idee om naar California te gaan? Ik wist van horen en zeggen dat California (vooral LA) het walhalla voor beachvolleyballers is. Ik wilde altijd al een keer volleyballen in USA en dacht al eerder aan university volleybal. From Feb. 3 to 10, Barefooter Jasper Niewold coached with German beach volleyball coach Benjamin Koch in Makadi Bay, Egypt. He could get away from the Dutch cold for a while and it took quite some getting used to the almost 30 degrees and sun. Anyway, there are worse things! At the risk of making this a somewhat redundant post, we still want to draw attention to the city of Valencia, less than an hour from Gandía Beach. Superfluous, because yes, when you are at Sunsation Beach you really have everything your heart desires. Most of them can't be turned away from the beach. Anyway, the situation is that there is a wonderful city to be found just around the corner. So quite possibly it is still an idea to consider including a day in Valencia in your schedule. From the realization that it is madness for all seasons to be the same length, we started the Barefoot Beach Tour. Of course, summer should be a lot longer, and winter a lot shorter. We were at three indoor venues the past few weeks to spread the beach bug. You can tell from the photos how nice it was to be immersed for a while in the warm bath that is a week of Sunsation Beach! Zonnig nieuws vanaf het strand! Tijmen Companjen en Mila Jonker runnen in Scheveningen al jaren De Beachvolleybalschool. Nu breiden ze hun activiteiten op het strand uit met een nieuw bedrijf, Barefoot Beach Camps, dat tot in de puntjes verzorgde beachvolleybalreizen aanbiedt. Hun liefde voor onze sport spat er vanaf, daar worden wij erg enthousiast van. En dat enthousiasme is wederzijds, want Tijmen en Mila hebben Barefoot Beach Camps aangemeld als Vriend van de Volleybalkrant. "Waar het hart vol van is…. Tijmen Companjen en Mila Jonker, de drijvende krachten achter De Beachvolleybalschool in en om het strand van Den Haag/Scheveningen hebben van hun passie hun werk gemaakt. Ze zijn gek op beachvolleybal, het relaxte strandleven en reizen. En op elkaar overigens, want inmiddels zijn ze al twee jaar een beachend echtpaar. Na de viering van het tienjarig bestaan van De Beachvolleybalschool, zijn ze nu klaar om hun nieuwste kindje te presenteren: Barefoot Beach Camps. Via De Beachvolleybalschool organiseerden ze al eerder beachreizen naar zonnige oorden. Dat brengen ze nu in één keer een paar stappen verder....
